Josh V, a fashion-forward lifestyle brand, needed deeper insights into their sales, inventory, and e-commerce data. With sales channels spanning both physical retailers and their e-commerce platform, they required a solution that could integrate and analyze data from their ERP system, Styleman, and multiple sales platforms. Josh V partnered with The Data Cooks to build a comprehensive data integration and visualization solution to track sales performance, returns, and sell-through rates at both the geographical and product levels.

The challenge

Managing sales and inventory across multiple channels—retail stores, e-commerce platforms, and external retailers—was a complex task for Josh V. However, data was siloed across different systems, with Styleman as the ERP and e-commerce data split between their own website and third-party retailers. This fragmentation made it difficult to get a unified view of the business’s performance across all sales channels.

  1. ETL Pipeline Creation: We developed a custom ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) solution that integrated data from Styleman ERP and e-commerce platforms. This process ensured that sales, inventory, and returns data were automatically pulled, cleaned, and consolidated into a single source of truth.
  2. Power BI Dashboards: To give Josh V actionable insights, we built intuitive Power BI dashboards. These dashboards offered real-time visibility into sales and returns, sell-through rates, and inventory levels across different geographic regions and product categories.
