This project illustrates how Generative AI can shift manufacturing from reactive maintenance and passive monitoring to proactive, human-centric intelligence. Through WASABI – GENius PM, The Data Cooks contributed to redefining how operators, data, and AI collaborate in next-generation smart factories.

The challenge

Manufacturing environments generate large volumes of operational data, yet this data is often presented through passive dashboards that place a heavy cognitive burden on operators. Critical know-how is locked inside static manuals, SOPs, and documentation, disconnected from live machine data. Maintenance remains reactive, knowledge-intensive, and difficult to scale, leading to inefficiencies, operator stress, and lost productivity—especially in complex production lines.

The Solution/Added Value

Within the WASABI project, the GENius PM solution was developed as a Generative AI–enhanced Digital Intelligent Assistant that supports predictive maintenance through natural language and voice-based interaction. The solution transforms raw industrial data and technical documentation into contextual, actionable guidance, enabling effective human–AI collaboration on the shop floor.
